We believe that growing and exporting avocados should never come at the expense of the land. That’s why we don’t just talk about sustainability—we live it every day in our orchards. From the root to every fruit that reaches international markets, sustainability is woven into everything we do.

One of our most forward-thinking initiatives is the development of an in-house laboratory for entomopathogenic organisms, where we create biological solutions to control pests and plant diseases. In this lab, we produce:

  • Beauveria

  • Paecilomyces

  • Trichoderma (applied consistently)

  • Bacillus subtilis

  • Bacillus thuringiensis

These biological alternatives help us reduce the use of synthetic chemicals and strengthen the health of our soil, trees, and surrounding ecosystems. It’s not just about protecting the crop—it’s about preserving the life it supports.

At our La Mansión and Melón farms, we’ve also installed solar panels as part of a clear commitment to energy efficiency. The sun powers not only our trees—but also the daily operation behind them.

We also understand that water is an invaluable resource, especially in agriculture. That’s why we’ve implemented concrete actions to protect it:

  • We safeguard native forests, knowing they are natural sources of water.

  • We capture and use rainwater for agricultural activities, reducing pressure on other water sources.

  • We use water exclusively for irrigation and for the basic needs of those who work on our farms.

Our commitment is backed by international certifications such as Rainforest Alliance and the SPRING add-on, which validate our sustainable, responsible agricultural practices and our alignment with global standards.

In Urrao, Antioquia, we don’t just grow avocados—we cultivate respect for the land, integrity in our actions, and a long-term vision that reaches far beyond one harvest.
